Mid-Century Modern Sofa
Sofa inspired by Hans Wegner GE290 sofa. I looked at all sorts of photos and used whatever measurements I could find to come up with a complete design from scratch using walnut boards. At no point in the process of design or construction had I seen a GE290 sofa in person. Cushions were also made from scratch using furniture fabric leftover from a local furniture company. Springs were ordered from Europe and spring clips were fabricated at a friend’s work’s machine shop.
